Bio Gas Plant is one of the most important sustainable options to prepare bio-gas that has been installed by multiple manufacturing facilities across the globe. In recent times it is gained popularity as “greener fuel”. Generally, bio-gas is made from decomposed wastes, agricultural wastes, manures, plant wastes, green wastes, and food wastes etc.,
Bio-gas is composed of methane, carbon dioxide, and small traces of nitrogen, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide produced by the anaerobic digestion of feed stock and other wastes.
In recent times, the global price hike of petroleum is the talk of the town. It doesn't mean that everyone should stop using gasoline vehicles. Yet people can still find alternative ways to utilize Bio-gas for Kitchen use and vehicles for transportation. It could be an excellent choice to replace fossil fuels, therefore you’d end up saving a lot!
History of Bio Gas
In the 17th century, it was founded by a chemist that flammable gases could be evolved from the decomposition of organic matters. And the first bio-gas plant was installed in 1859 at Bombay, India. With the growing acceptance, gradually these plants are now being pre-dominantly installed by manufacturing industries across the world.
How Bio Gas is made?
Bio gas cannot be directly produced with just one raw material or in an open space. A well-structured bio-gas plant is required for the production of bio gas. Different types of wastes from agricultural fields, livestock, foods, and Sewage sludge are added to Anaerobic Digester, where the particles are decomposed in an oxygen-free environment. The methanobacteria present in the organic matter convert the wastes into bio gas and other solid mixtures.
The byproducts from the Bio gas plant such as bio gas is used as fuel for the kitchen and electricity. Further by removing Co2 and other gases bio-gas is converted to bio methane which can be used as a vehicle fuel.
The slurry or digestate which is the remaining part after the production of bio gas can be used for fertilizer, soil amendment, and cattle bedding purposes. Simultaneously sewage treatment plants also takes place in many textile industries.
Time to Change
It’s high time that people take a forward leap ahead to save nature and consider using renewable resources as much as possible instead of exploiting other natural resources. These bio gases can be used for various purposes and it has numerous benefits such as
- Bio gas is one of the Eco-friendly fuels that reduce the usage of other oils imported from other countries.
- The Slurry after the bio gas production contains high nutrients and can be used as a manure for better crop yields in agricultural fields.
- Acts as a bio pesticide and promotes plant growth.
- Increasing the use of Bio gas can reduce the usage of firewood and LPG gases, and hence we can save trees from being cut in huge numbers.
- The utilization of different wastes to produce bio gas results in a clean environment and acts as an alternative source of electricity.
- Conversion of harmful gases such as methane, and Co2 into useful biogas and electricity is one of the important Benefits.
Classic Polo’s Bio gas Plants
Classic Polo is one of India’s finest mid-premium brands that produce A-Z of men's wardrobes with great quality & style. It is a vertically integrated manufacturer where every single product is being sourced and manufactured within the organization i.e, from Farm to Fashion.
Especially with the prevailing environmental change and depleting Eco-system, one needs to be extremely caring and vigilant not to exploit the natural resources and utilize bio wastes effectively. Classic Polo is one such ethical organisations in India who are known for their social consciousness and environment friendly practices. They have done many sustainable activities one such initiative is the installation of Bio gas Plants in their manufacturing facilities.
Factories are built with Bio gas plants to treat cattle, farm & kitchen wastes resulting in the production of Bio gas for effective resource utilization, thus benefiting both the organization and the environment. Their built bio gas plants effectively mitigate the emission of methane, Co2, and nitrous oxide.
Utilizing Bio gas plants really helped a lot to save huge fuel costs and allows to save more trees and not cut them down as firewood.
Our Earth is the home for all living species. Let's live and let others live !
