It seems the way we live and the world around us has seen a drastic change with the COVID-19 pandemic. Corona Virus not only appears to be spreading like rapid fire, but it has altered our lives. The virus has now made us to always think about safety measures. It made us give a thought about stepping outside of our homes. These are challenging times and let us look at what we can do as people to learn and live with it.
Here are some useful precautions which you can follow.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and follow social distancing by keeping at least 6 feet away from others if you choose to step out.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands often.
- Wash your hands with soap and water regularly for at least 20 seconds, particularly after being in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If not, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces around your house and work often.
- Wear a mask over your mouth and nose when around others.
These are only some precautions that you can follow to be safe. It is ultimately your responsibility to be safe and educate your near and dear ones to stick to safety norms and keep them safe.
Lockdown and Things to do
You might not have heard or used the word - Lockdown much before this pandemic came into place. We are now used to hearing it, and the implementation of it seems the only way to reduce this deadly virus.
Lockdown means different things to different people. The Lockdown has so many restrictions like companies shutting down, offices being forced with a lower percentage of the workforce, etc. Think of all the migrant workers, some have lost their jobs, some are not able to return to their home towns due to restricted or no transportation.
The alternative way now followed in most companies is the new standard of Working from Home. Since we all have resorted to our homes, there is a world of things which we can do to use this time, apart from Working from Home and attending Online classes. The other factor which we tend to forget or avoid in these times is our physical and mental health. They play an important part as we all are in the same place for a long time.
Adaptation to the New Normal
Finally, what we can do is to pray for all this to end and adapt to live in this kind of environment. Even if we can get rid of Coronavirus in the coming days, we all should follow safety and live a healthy and sound life.
The virus has taught us some lessons, and there are a lot of lessons to be learned in this course. Here are some of the main takeaways from all this, we have learned how to spend time with family, how to be content with what we have and utilize our space, how to adapt to things, etc. Ultimately, it is in our hands to make this world a better place again by following safety precautions and being safe. All is well, Stay Safe!
